How should I prepare for my wax?

Pre-Waxing Prep

Please note:

Sanitation is our utmost priority. Most all of our service supplies are disposable single-use products. We wear disposable latex-free nitrile gloves during every waxing service and all tools are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized between each appointment. Applicator sticks are NEVER double dipped back into the wax.

DO's for Waxing:

- Hair must be 1/4 of an inch long to be waxed. This is very important as the hair must be long enough for the wax to grab a hold of.

- Moisturize. The day of your appointment the area should be clean and moisturized.

- Wear loose fitted clothing. Wearing tight fitted clothing may irritate the freshly waxed area.

- PREBOOK. This is important. For best results it is best to keep up with your waxes every 4-6 weeks. Do not shave in between appointments.

Don'ts for Waxing:

- Do not trim. There's a chance you could trim too short to be waxed. It is better to have too much than not enough.

- Do not sun tan! Please wait 72 hours prior to and after your wax to sun tan or get in a tanning bed.

- Do not spray tan. Make your spray tan appointment after your wax. The wax will remove or fade any existing spray tan.

- Do not book if your hair is not at least 3 weeks of growth. If the hair is not long enough we will have to turn you away and that is fun for no one!

Special Occasion Waxing

We recommend getting waxed at least twice before any special occasion. Please allow enough time to go at least 4 weeks in between waxes. On the week of the special event, it is best to get waxed at least 48 hours before.

FAQs

Can I get waxed while on my period?
Yes! If you are on your period, it's not a problem. However, please make sure to insert a fresh tampon before the service if you are not using a menstrual cup.

Can I get waxed while I'm pregnant?
Yes! You can get waxed throughout your entire pregnancy. Make sure to get a doctors approval beforehand though.

Can I wear underwear during a bikini wax?
For a Bikini wax you can go without or wear your underwear. Brazilian waxes are performed without underwear and a disposable cover is provided for your comfort and is removed during the waxing procedure.

Can I use numbing cream?
We do not recommend using a numbing cream. If you choose to do so, be sure to 1. follow the instructions on the package and 2. let your waxing specialist know.

Other ways to decrease pain sensitivity is to limit stimulants like coffee/caffeine and being hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

We cannot perform waxing services for you if any of the below apply:

- If you are taking Accutane, Retin-A/ Renova, blood thinning medication,

- If you are sun-burned or have tanned the area to be waxed within 72 hours.

- Have had a facial peel or microdermabrasion within 7 days.
