What should I do after a wax?

Post Waxing Aftercare

Taking Care of Your Skin Between Waxes

During the first 24-48 hours after waxing your skin may be tender and swollen. Keep your skin clean, but do not over wash, and keep it protected.

- Avoid excessive heat for 24-48 hours after your waxing service   (tanning, saunas, hot baths, exercise, etc.)

- Avoid swimming and wear loose clothing for a day or so. Don't shave or trim between wax treatments.

- Avoid being intimate for 24-48 hours post wax.

After your wax you will receive some samples of products highly recommended for aftercare. You can purchase the full sized products in studio any time.

To get the most out of your waxing and for  best results:

  • Moisturize daily

  • Exfoliate 1-2 times weekly

  • Keep a regular waxing schedule

  • After about 2-3 days after your waxing service start exfoliating the skin regularly 1-2 times per week as needed. (Do not over exfoliate)

When exfoliating, be sure to move in direction of the hair growth. Do not scrub the skin in circles or against the direction of the hair.

Facial waxing should be done every 3 to 4 weeks and body waxing should be   done every 4 to 6 weeks. Exfoliate your skin 3-4 days before your next body,   bikini, or Brazilian waxing appointment.

FAQs

Can I get waxed while on my period?
Yes! If you are on your period, it's not a problem. However, please make sure to insert a fresh tampon before the service if you are not using a menstrual cup.

Can I get waxed while I'm pregnant?
Yes! You can get waxed throughout your entire pregnancy. Make sure to get a doctors approval beforehand though.

Can I wear underwear during a bikini wax?
For a Bikini wax you can go without or wear your underwear. Brazilian waxes are performed without underwear and a disposable cover is provided for your comfort and is removed during the waxing procedure.

Can I use numbing cream?
We do not recommend using a numbing cream. If you choose to do so, be sure to 1. follow the instructions on the package and 2. let your waxing specialist know.

Other ways to decrease pain sensitivity is to limit stimulants like coffee/caffeine and being hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
